Who we are
PBJ Media Solutions is a Jamaica-based business operating under a business name for which registration is currently in process. For this notice, the responsible contact is the Privacy Contact, PBJ Media Solutions. General and privacy requests must be submitted through the Contact page.
PBJ Media Solutions’ registration as a data controller with Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner is currently in process. This statement does not imply that registration, approval or certification is complete.
Scope
This notice applies to visitors to PBJMedia.net, people who submit general enquiries, Operations Assessment requests or appointment requests, prospective clients and related client communications. Separate proposals, statements of work, service agreements, confidentiality terms or data-processing terms may govern client-controlled information handled during an engagement.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Depending on the form or correspondence, this may include your name, email address, telephone number, company or organization, job title, industry, location, website, preferred contact method, appointment preferences and project, service, workflow or operational details.
Technical and operational information
The website may generate IP address, browser and device information, source and referral information, request metadata, security records, application logs and evidence of form consent. Essential storage also records website-security and consent-preference information.
Optional analytics information
If you allow optional analytics, Matomo may collect information about pages viewed, navigation and selected website interactions. Form values are not intentionally sent to analytics.
How information is collected
Information is collected through website forms, direct correspondence, essential website functions, server and application logs and, only after analytics consent, Matomo.
Why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, understand operational needs, assess suitability, prepare recommendations or proposals, deliver requested or contracted services, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose technical problems, record consent preferences and meet legal or recordkeeping obligations.
Processing grounds
Depending on the circumstances, processing may be based on your consent, steps you request before entering a contract, performance of a later contract, legal obligations, or legitimate operational and security interests that do not improperly override your rights. These descriptions are general and are not individualized legal advice.
No promotional direct marketing
PBJ Media Solutions does not currently conduct promotional email campaigns, newsletters or unrelated direct marketing by email, SMS or WhatsApp. We may reply to an enquiry or appointment request, provide reasonable follow-up about the original request, or communicate about a requested or contracted service. You may ask for enquiry-related follow-up to stop through the Contact page.
How contact submissions are handled
When a contact, assessment or appointment form is submitted, the information is stored in PBJ Media Solutions’ database. An internal notification is sent through the email-delivery service, an acknowledgement may be sent to the address provided, and authorized PBJ Media Solutions personnel review the submission.
Cookies and analytics
Essential website functions operate without optional analytics. Matomo is not loaded by the website until you allow analytics, and essential-only mode prevents it from loading on later pages. PBJ Media Solutions does not use advertising trackers on this website. You can review, change or withdraw your choice on the Cookie Preferences page.
Technical claims about Matomo configuration, including IP anonymization and the deployed cookie inventory, are confirmed as part of release verification and are not represented here beyond what the published implementation can demonstrate.
Service providers
We use providers that support website and database hosting, email delivery, DNS and network services, security and monitoring, and backups. Email delivery is handled through MXRoute. Provider access is restricted to what is reasonably necessary to supply the relevant service, subject to appropriate contractual, organizational and technical controls.
International processing
Some infrastructure or providers may process information outside Jamaica. Where appropriate, PBJ Media Solutions uses reasonable contractual, organizational and technical safeguards and considers the protection available in the destination and the nature of the information.
Retention standards
The following are PBJ Media Solutions’ operational retention standards. Enforcement may include documented manual review and does not imply that every record is deleted automatically.

Records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for legal requirements, fraud prevention, a security investigation, a dispute or enforcement of an agreement.
Security
PBJ Media Solutions uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to the circumstances, including access controls, least-privilege practices, HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted database access, logging, monitoring, backup and recovery controls, and limits on provider access. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, object to or request restriction of certain processing, withdraw consent, or request deletion where applicable. You may also make a complaint to Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner.
A request may not require deletion where legal, contractual, security, dispute or recordkeeping obligations require continued retention. We may need to verify identity before disclosing, correcting or deleting information.
Privacy requests
Submit a request to the Privacy Contact, PBJ Media Solutions through the Contact page. Include enough information to identify the relevant interaction without placing passwords, payment details or unrelated sensitive information in the form.
Children
The website and services are intended for adults aged 18 or older. PBJ Media Solutions does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children. If information concerning a child has been submitted improperly, contact us through the Contact page so the circumstances can be reviewed and appropriate removal steps considered.
Security incidents
PBJ Media Solutions will investigate suspected incidents, take reasonable containment and remediation measures, and notify affected persons or regulators where legally required. This does not promise public notice for every suspected incident.
Changes to this notice
Revised versions will be published on this page with updated effective and last-updated dates. Where a material change requires a new choice or notice, PBJ Media Solutions will take reasonable steps appropriate to the change rather than treating continued website use as automatic consent to materially different processing.
